So much NP right here.

Did they spray bedliner over a rust hole in the tailgate, or a huge ass dent?
I call CP. Too much rust and questionable mods.

Impossible.

Well, it is in the Mid-west, so that seems like some usual rust. Would it be too hard to get another tailgate?
And the remote start is indeed questionable; that is one thing I never hear going well on cars is an aftermarket remote start. But the other ones seem rather reasonable. (Second thought: Why are the wires going through a soup can?)

Hmm, maybe the steering is going out like this one.

Seems to be a common thing

I've scoured this truck and cannot find any reason to believe it's not a Lightning. That being said I still wouldn't buy it. Too much damage

That's the Folgers Can. Ford's vacuum reservoir

I've got a coworker driving one. Pretty sharp.

That was...ummm... quick.
It was a Lightning in white with 109k for $4,300, much cleaner but with ball joint and u joint issues.

Must have just happened. It was a Lightning in white with 109k for $4,300, much cleaner but with ball joint and u joint issues.

Huh, didn't think it was too bad for a Mid-west truck. Although I've slathered on fiberglass over many rust holes bigger than those before, so I may be kinda less annoyed by rust repair.
Is it weird to think fiberglassing is fun?

Learn something new everyday! I'm not much knowledgeable of these fancy fuel injected engines.

Lol not at all. I'm rather biased against rust, coming from Colorado.

I would love to live and drive in CO, but I hear the gravel does a number on the front clip/fascia and windshield,

Had a friend in high school who had a '75 Mark IV. The headlight doors were vacuum actuated, and his Folgers Can was pretty well shot. Any time he laid on the throttle, the doors would shut on him
(I think the can has been around since '72 and the 5.8 was the last motor to use it)

Windshield insurance is a must out here. As for the fascia, my 900 has 350k miles on it and the "chrome" grill is still impeccable; same goes for the truck

I just want the motor out of that L for my cobra.

Dat factory Ford soup can. A staple since the 70's. Tis a shame they rid themselves of it.
